The Dutch TT motorcycle races are traditionally held on the fourth saturday in june. Tomorrow it's that time again in Assen, NL. Before a closed circuit was taken into use in 1955, the race was still held on public roads, most of which paved with cobblestones. Much has changed since. The only part of the course from back then which is still in the same place as now is the finish line. The picture from june 29th 1929 shows three Dutch racers; Creemers on a Norton, De Kleyn on a Sarolea and Broers on a New Hudson.
This picture shows the fuel and oil bar area in the pits in 1932.
