Exactly 2 years ago a FlakeKing and his Princess started off in Amsterdam for an epic roadtrip through Europe, Morocco, Mauritania -including the Sahara Desert- and Senegal, eventually finishing in Banjul (The Gambia). The ride of choice was a '67 Swedish Shoebox. The team was complemented with an old biker friend, a real tough guy, helping hand, technical mastermind, drinking buddy and overall great company. Though driving duties in the Volvo switched between King and Princess, biker Rob proved to be a real badass by doing all those miles, those long and hard days on his XL600 by himself and none other.
One FlakeKing already had the pleasure of pissing in a metalflake covered toilet, now the second FK took a leak in the same establishment. And it sure hurts your eyes being half drunk, I can assure you ! Sign me up for one of these floors right here in my living room, asap.

Our FlAkE tHe WoRlD motto is coming along just fine; spotted this one in a local guitar shop, it belonged to a customer and was just in for some service. Italian-made somewhere in the sixties, no idea what brand. The front covered in blue mega-flake, the backside and neck were one thick layer of mother of pearl, yummie !
